ASAAL membership is strictly voluntary. There are two kinds of membership:
Membership of ASAAL is open to any person who is a member with a labor union or any union member who has retired in good standing or any worker who believes in the labor movement or any person or individual who supports labor.
Members in good standing with ASAAL are eligible to participate in business meetings or serve in any of its elected or appointed positions. Members are eligible to participate in any discussion and can author or vote on any resolution, motion, and amendment or serve in any of ASAAL’s elected and appointed positions.
$50 Family with Children (Student)
The annual dues shall run from January 1 through December 31 of each year. The minimum dues shall be twenty dollars ($20.00) per year for rank-and-file members of the Alliance. The dues for retirees shall be ten dollars ($10.00) per year. The dues for a Family with any number of children shall be fifty dollars ($50.00). Dues paid at any time of the year are paid for that year. All dues so collected shall be divided equally between the local chapter and the national office.
In addition to the dues structure stated above, members in leadership position may choose to pay dues to the national at the following levels: Leadership Members in the Chapters shall pay one hundred dollars ($100) per annum and National Executive Members shall pay two hundred dollars ($200) per annum.
